General Conference Information

When is the CoSN 2017 Annual Conference?
The CoSN 2017 Annual Conference will be held April 3-6, 2017

Where is the CoSN 2016 Annual Conference?
The CoSN 2017 Annual Conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Chicago in Chicago, IL. For more information about the conference location, please visit the hotel and travel page of this website.

Who can attend?
You must register, but the conference is open to everyone.

What meals are included with registration?
For all attendees, the Monday night opening reception and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday are included in the full conference registration. Additional packages, tickets, and workshops may include additional meal functions, such as Tuesday night’s Monumental Impact: Advocacy Dinner & Auction.

Will I be able to request special meals (i.e. kosher, vegetarian)?
Please contact events@cosn.org, to request special meals. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

How can I request assistance with special needs (i.e. hearing impaired)?
Please contact events@cosn.org, with any needs you may have for special assistance or ADA accommodation. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Where can I find information about Sponsorship opportunities?
If you are interested in exhibit or sponsorship opportunities at the CoSN Annual Conference, please contact Irene Spero at sponsorship@cosnconference.org.

Can I bring my spouse or companion to the conference?
Due to the business focused atmosphere of the conference, we respectfully request that you do not bring your spouse or any companion to the conference sessions. Your hotel concierge will be happy to provide information on local attractions in the Washington, D.C. area. Spouses and guests are welcome at the Tuesday night Monumental Impact: Advocacy Dinner & Auction (a guest ticket must be purchased).

How do I get to the conference?
Visit the travel section for detailed travel info. Sheraton Chicago Grand does not provide a shuttle to and from the airport.

Networking

Will there be opportunities for small group discussions?
We have scheduled an opening night reception and other networking opportunities allowing you to learn and share in smaller group settings. We also encourage attendees to network during meals and breaks.

Registration

Do you accept Purchase Orders?

If you would like to use a Purchase Order you may do so when registering online. Please note, there is a $25 surcharge when paying by purchase order.

Where may I obtain your federal tax ID information for my accounting department?

Please contact info@cosnconference.org with your request and we will send a completed W-9 form to you.

Where can I request a receipt?

If you paid by credit card when you registered, a copy of your receipt was emailed to you from info@cosnconference.org along with your registration confirmation. A link is about half way through the message.

If you paid by check or purchase order, an invoice was emailed to you from info@cosnconference.org along with your registration confirmation. A link is about half way through the message.  A receipt will be emailed to you once your registration is paid in full.

How may I make changes to my registration?

If you have already registered, you may access your registration by using the steps below and making your desired changes.

  2. Log in with the following credentials:
    • Email Address:
    • Registration ID (Your registrant id can be found in your confirmation email) You do not need to enter in your confirmation ID.

To change your conference registration package, please contact info@cosnconference.org.

How do I make a payment online?

Follow the steps below to make an online payment.

  2. Log in with the following credentials:
    • Email Address:
    • Registration ID (Your registrant id can be found in your confirmation email) You do not need to enter in your confirmation ID.

How do I pay by check?

If paying by check make it payable to CoSN (Federal ID# 52-1774773) and write your name and registration number (4397721) in the memo field on your check. Payment MUST be received within 14 days of submitting your registration. If payment has not been received within 14 days of your registration being processed, you will be asked to provide documentation/proof that payment has been sent or provide advanced credit card payment in order to attend. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 Can I pay over the phone?

Yes, please call 703-610-0257 to make a payment over the phone.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

If a registrant is unable to attend, CoSN must receive a written request to info@cosnconference.org by February 19, 2016 to receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee.  Confirmed registrants who fail to attend and do not cancel by February 19, 2016 will be charged the entire registration fee. Substitutions will be accepted if authorized in writing by the original registrant.

If I cancel my conference registration will my hotel room be cancelled as well?

No, these are handled separately. Please contact your hotel directly to cancel your room reservation.

If you have purchased a package that includes your hotel room and need to cancel your conference registration, CoSN will also cancel your hotel reservation. If you cancel after the cancellation deadline of February 2015, certain hotel cancellation fees may apply.

May I send someone in my place if I cannot attend?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time. Requests must be made in writing and may be emailed to info@cosnconference.org or brought to the registration desk on-site.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Yes, you will receive an email acknowledgement of your registration from info@cosnconference.org.  Be sure to double check your spam folder if you have not received it to your inbox.
