Covid Protocol for the 2022 CoSN Conference
(As of September 2021, subject to updates based on changing conditions)
CoSN is now requiring all in-person conference registrants to be vaccinated or test negative for COVID-19 prior to participating in conference activities. We will keep attendees informed about what to expect on-site in Nashville through updates to the website and emails as we get closer to the event. Ensuring the safety of our attendees at the CoSN conference is a priority for us. When picking up your registration credentials, CoSN will require proof of vaccination or proof of a negative Covid test to secure your registration badge.
Please present one of the following along with your ID:
- CDC vaccination card (copy or photo)
- Current proof of a negative Covid test (within 7 days)
Here are a few things to expect at our in-person event:
Wear your mask: attendees are expected to wear face masks during all conference activities, except when eating or drinking.
Masks will be available on-site if you need one. Attendees who cannot wear masks due to a health condition should consult a medical professional about possible alternatives. Attendees will be reminded to wear a proper-fitting mask by event personnel.
We recommend attendees wear masks while traveling to and from the event and follow COVID-safe practices in the weeks leading up to the event. If you’ve engaged in activities or behaviors that put you at high risk for COVID-19, we kindly ask that you join us to experience the annual conference online.
Be mindful of your own health: If you or someone you’ve had close contact with has recently tested positive for COVID-19 or hasn’t been feeling well for any reason, please stay home. You can still participate in the conference through our online event platform.
Please re-imagine greetings and social contact: We are all very much looking forward to warmly greeting and interacting with each other, but please find alternatives to traditional greetings (e.g., offering a wave or a head nod in place of shaking hands). Be mindful that fellow attendees might be less comfortable than you with close contact or sharing spaces. Attendees will have the option to add stickers to their badge to indicate their comfort level for close contact, and we ask that these preferences be respected.
You may want to consider purchasing travel insurance: Conditions are changing. Reputable travel insurance may cover some of your travel expenses should you be required to cancel.
If you do not agree with our Covid protocol, you will have the opportunity to convert your in-person registration, at no penalty, to a virtual registration prior to February 15, 2022. You will find ample opportunities to learn, connect, discover, and play if you choose to participate in the annual conference virtually.
